The purpose or purposes of The Ohio Chiropractic Foundation (“OCF”) is to provide educational opportunities regarding chiropractic services and the chiropractic profession.
The Ohio Chiropractic Foundation Student Scholarship Program will recognize students who are committed to shaping the future of the profession and practicing in the state of Ohio. Applicants will be evaluated on their potential to become leaders for the chiropractic profession, as demonstrated by involvement in school and community activities, and academic performance.
For 2019, one scholarship for $5,000 in honor of Bob Zirker, Jr. is available to be awarded by the Ohio Chiropractic Foundation and will be presented at the 2019 OSCA Annual Convention on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The inaugural honoree for the Chiropractic Foundation Scholarship is Robert “Bob” Zirker Jr. Bob, as founder of Zirker Insurance and Financial Services, has a long history of promoting the Chiropractic Profession, specifically the OSCA. Bob’s personal life-changing, chiropractic experience has lead to a 30 year partnership with the OSCA. Bob and his son, Rob Zirker III, are proud to support the Chiropractic Foundation’s scholarship campaign.
General Eligibility Criteria:
- Student Member of the OSCA (Membership is free). Visit www.oscachiro.org to join.
- Complete at least two academic years in a Chiropractic school setting.
- Earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent grading system) in professional course work during chiropractic school.
- Student must be willing to reside and practice in the state of Ohio and commit to helping shape the future of the profession after graduation.
