Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the Rehab Advanced Standing Program?

The Rehab Advanced Standing Program is a 50 CEU hour presentation about functional rehabilitation presented by Drs. Jerrold Simon and George Petruska.  It is split into 4 Modules over 4 months.  Each Module (Modules I, II and III) is 12 hours long, except for Module IV which is 14 hours long.

Who is the Rehab Advanced Standing Program designed for?

The program is especially designed for DCs who have their CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) credential and would like to earn a Diplomate in Rehab (DACRB).  If qualified, the CCSP chiropractor who attends this course will receive 100 CEU hours credit towards their 300 Rehab Diplomate coursework.

Can any Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) take this course?

Yes, this 50 hour program is designed for any DC who would like to learn more about functional rehab and/or who is interested in pursuing a Diplomate in Rehab from the American Chiropractic Rehab Board (ACRB).

Are the 50 CEU hours approved by the ACRB as counting towards a Diplomate in Rehab?

Yes, the ACRB has approved the 50 CEU hours of the Rehab Advanced Standing program as counting towards earning a Diplomate in Rehab.  In addition, Palmer College of Chiropractic has approved all 50 hours for license renewal credits in the states of OH, PA, FL and NY.

When and where is the Rehab Advanced Standing Program held?

The location for all four Modules is Dr. Farabaugh's office located at 2879 E Dublin Granville Road, in Columbus, Ohio 43231.

Will the topics be covered that are considered pertinent by the ACRB to pass the DACRB test?

Yes, the ACRB has a reference list of necessary textbooks and Journal articles that are considered essential reading for those who want to pass the DACRB exam.  The two main textbooks are Liebenson’s Rehabilitation of the Spine and Morris’ Low Back Syndromes.  Both of these textbooks are covered extensively in the first three Modules.

Will this be a “hands on” Rehab course?

Yes, a goodly portion of the 50 CEU hours will be hands on, so dress accordingly and bring a roll up floor mat with you.  They can be purchased inexpensively at Wal-Mart or at most sports outlets.

What will Module IV cover?

Module IV will be a comprehensive review of the first three modules and is designed to help prepare the doctor to pass the ACRB exam.
