Nicholas Strata, MBA

Executive Director

 

Nicholas Strata began his career as a Congressional Intern for Congressman Bob Latta after he completed his undergraduate degree at Wilmington College. He was accepted into the competitive Legislative Service Commission Fellowship Program. From there he expanded his legislative experience as the Legislative Aide to both Senator Jay Hottinger and Representative Stephanie Kunze, the latter for which he ran a successful election campaign. This win for Rep. Kunze resulted in Nicholas being named Franklin County Campaign Manager of the Year and Ohio House Republican Organizational Committee Rising Star Award Winner.

 

Mr. Strata began his career at the OSCA in 2013 as the Director of Legislative Affairs. He now leads the OSCA as Executive Director and works with the Board of Directors to form goals and strategies that will shape the OSCA’s future. He works to ensure that Doctor’s of Chiropractic are  represented in the State Capitol and that DCs have a seat at the table when forming the future of healthcare and wellness in Ohio. Nicholas currently resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife Kayla and son, Brantley Beau. 

 


 

Lora Morrison

Senior Director of Membership & Development

 

Lora Morrison has been with the OSCA since June of 2016, first as the Director of Communications and Marketing, and is now the Senior Director for Membership and Development.  Lora has extensive association management experience. She manages all member retention and member recruitment efforts, and she is the editor for On Target Magazine.  Prior to working at OSCA, she held various positions at the Ohio Grocers Association over the course of 12 years, including the Director of Membership and e-Marketing.

 

Lora’s marketing career has spanned over 20 years, and she has worked for a wide variety of companies, from software to concessions. Lora also owned her own Marketing Communications business for 8 years, providing marketing services and consulting for a variety of small businesses and associations. Lora’s creative expertise, strategic thinking, and dedication to teamwork have helped any company she’s worked with translate business objectives into realities.

 

Mrs. Morrison graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Affairs and a minor in Spanish.  During her tenure at UC, she worked as a staff assistant for a US Congressman on Capitol Hill for a year.  She also helped run a successful campaign for a Cincinnati City Councilman, and worked on his staff after he was elected.  She grew up in Cincinnati, but has called Columbus, OH her home since 2000.  She received her first chiropractic adjustment in 2001 and has been an advocate ever since.  She credits two successful pregnancies and births (including twins) to regular chiropractic adjustments.  She currently resides in Grove City with her husband Rick, son Alex, and twins Savannah and Olivia.  

 

 

Brandy Spaulding, DC

Director of Chiropractic Services & Special Assistant to the Executive Director

 

Dr. Brandy has devoted her professional career to supporting the body’s ability to function at its best through chiropractic, and her practice has an emphasis on the care of women and children.  Dr. Brandy is certified in Webster Technique, a pregnancy specific technique proven effective at reducing low back pain during pregnancy, allowing breach presentations to return to a natural position, and reducing labor time and pain levels. Postgraduate interests include nutrition and its role in health and most recently, the pursuit of her Diplomate in Chiropractic Acupuncture.

 

Dr. Spaulding, herself a longtime member of the OSCA, began serving on the board in 2013 as District Director for District 12. She joined OSCA in July of 2017 as Director of Chiropractic Services & Special Assistant to the Executive Director. Her role is to educate legislators and department staff of the importance of proposed legislation on behalf of the OSCA. She also serves as the point person for member inquiries including coding, billing, 3rd party pay, and scope of practice issues.

 

She is a native of Chillicothe, and after several years in Iowa and Massachusetts, returned to her hometown in 2005 with her husband Dr. Joe and two children, Aiden and Mikayla. In her spare time, she enjoys running, spending time with family and watching her kids play, as well as, coach them in their activities.


 

Nicole Ganim

Director of Communications and Events

 

 Originally from Cleveland, Nicole Ganim is a proud graduate from The Ohio State University with a double major in Political Science and International Relations and Diplomacy. She interned in Minority Leader Capri Cafaro’s office until she was promoted to Legislative Aide upon graduation. She became the Senior Legislative Aide in 2010 where she advised the Senator on all health committees like Health and Human Service and Medicaid Committee. It was during this time she developed a passion for healthcare policy.


She wanted to continue to serve to better the health and wellness of Ohioans when she began working for the OSCA in the summer of 2017. She currently plans all continuing education events and seminars and handles all communications. She is also the point person in the office for all event registrations, webinars, and member questions. She lives in Grandview, Ohio where she enjoys spinning, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.


 

 

Daphne Saneholtz

General Counsel

  • Provides counsel and advice to the association’s Executive Director and Board of Directors relating to non-profit association rules and laws
  • Serves as staff liaison to association’s Government Affairs Committee and co-staff liaison to Governance Committee
  • Monitors state and federal agencies that regulate healthcare
  • Represents the OSCA’s position on draft rules before state and federal regulatory boards
  • Drafts rules, statutory changes, and legislation as it relates to the OSCA Strategic Plan
  • Assists the Association’s membership team by conducting legal research as it relates to member inquiries
