The OSCA held a conversation with Attorney Hufford, the primary counsel, last week. In this conversation he stated that they will be taking a new strategy in this case. He shared that they are moving away for the doctor and organizational argument and moving to the patient side of the argument. The OSCA and other organizations will remain a part of the suit but will not be the lead.
He shared that they won the last injunction that UHC tried to create and that the case is still moving forward.
As always should you continue to have take backs from UHC you should appeal those decisions.
We are still waiting to hear from the court on their decision from the October court date. Our counsel is optimistic and expects to hear something by mid-December.
If you are still having issues with Humana taking monies it is important that you appeal this decision.
We did not hear back from OPTUM’s counsel by the 6th as we were told. We have communicated with them by email and are now setting up a date to hold a call with their legal team and their chief medical director. This call will likely happen on the 20th of this month.
We will provide further updates to our members when we have more info.
