Representative Bob Cup (R-Lima) introduced the OSCA’s legislation naming October as Chiropractic Awareness Month. With seven co-sponsors, the legislation naming October as Chiropractic Awareness Month, H.R. 209, has officially been adopted by the Ohio House of Representatives.
The OSCA is restructuring the association’s grassroots tool, known by you all as the KEY DC program. To keep our grassroots warriors up to speed on what is happening around the state capital, each month they will be receiving a newsletter as well as information on any area legislative fundraisers. If you are interested in becoming a KEYDC please email firstname.lastname@example.org
NOTE: KEY DC’s are the association’s go-to doctors when legislation has been introduced that directly or indirectly effects the chiropractic profession. These 120+ doctors call on their legislator who they have a relationship with and advocate to support the OSCA’s pro-chiropractic legislative agenda.
October 9th at 6:30 PM will be a C-PAC reception held at the Hyatt Convention Center. Senator and Majority Whip Larry Obhof will be speaking; explaining his role as a leader in the Ohio Senate and why it is so important for chiropractic physicians to get to know their legislators. We will begin this event at 6:30 PM with a time for meet & greet. The reception will begin at 7:00 PM. We will have an open bar from 6:30 - 7:30.
