Nicholas Strata,Chief Operating Officer, grew up and currently resides in Defiance, Ohio . He graduated from Wilmington College in 2009 with a degree in Business and Sports Management.
From 2009 – 2010 Nicholas participated in the Ohio Legislative Service Commission Fellowship Program. He was assigned to Senator John Carey, Senate Finance Chairman, and worked on the capital budget bill.
From 2011- 2012 Nicholas was a Legislative Aide and House Insurance Committee Secretary to Representative Jay Hottinger, assisting the chairman in the development and implementation of insurance related legislation. During this time he also assisted in the successful completion of the FY12 and FY13 BWC and Industrial Commission state budget bills.
In the summer and fall of 2012 Nicholas served as campaign manager to Stephanie Kunze, who was running for state representative. His duties included overseeing the areas of grassroots, scheduling, coalition building, volunteer recruitment, events coordination and communications. Once elected, Stephanie Kunze employed Nicholas as her legislative aide.
2013 brings Nicholas to the OSCA as the Chief Operating Officer. In this position, he will be responsible for leading our executive and legislative lobbying firms towards reaching the OSCA's public policy goals, chairing the Chiropractic-Political Action Committee, reviving the grass roots Key DC program, developing and distributing talking points on issues relevant to our membership and providing legislative climate updates.
